What is Band Instrument Repair, you ask?
Well, it’s quite simple! Many people play musical instruments that are commonly found in concert bands (flutes, clarinets, saxophones, trumpets, trombones, tubas, etc.) and these instruments like all highly refined mechanical devices need to be fixed from time to time.
Why should you bring your instruments to me?
Well, I have received formal training in this craft from Renton Technical College, where I received my Associates of Applied Science in Band Instrument Repair Technology in 2011. Following my graduation, I went to work for a major music retailer in Maryland. While there, I refined my skills by repairing thousands of instruments over the course of 3 1/2 years of employment. I worked on all instruments from most of the major manufacturers domestic and imported. I started by working on saxophones and from there moved onto clarinets, trumpets, trombones, euphoniums/baritones, and flutes. Following my time there, I decided to move back home and start my own business. And here we are!
What can I do for you?
Fix your dreams! But aside from that, I can provide you with a wide variety of repairs to your musical instruments. Keys stuck on your clarinet? I can fix that! Flute tarnished? I can fix that! Trombone slide not sliding quite right? I can fix that! Or do you simply need your instrument cleaned and oiled? I can do that, and I can do it on your budget. Because I have built my shop on my own property, I don’t have as much overhead as other repair shops, and I will pass the savings along to you!
How much do estimates cost?
Estimates are free! I will be more than happy to look at your instrument and provide you with an estimate for no expense.
